Biography
Christoph Zihlmann, born 1956 in Lucerne.
Studies of Architecture in Lausanne and Zurich, diploma 1984.
Several internships and jobs, in architects businesses but also in construction professions and elsewhere, among others one year in a carpenter's workshop and one year in a geriatric-psychiatric clinic.
Lived in Lausanne, Geneva, Boulder/ USA, since 1991 in Zurich.
Recurrent artistic activity.
Since 1999 own architects business in Zurich, mostly renovating existing buildings.
Since 2000 actively involved with Shambhala Zurich, a buddhist meditation group, since 2010 also as meditation teacher.
Since 1993 in partnership with Ursina Vogt. Patchwork-father of her two adult daughters and since 2013 patchwork-grandfather as well.
After a longer period without artistic work I started a regular arts practice again in summer 2013. I have my studio in Adliswil near Zurich.
